COUNSELLING / THERAPY

Counselling:
Each of us will face our share of challenges or crises in our lifetime. Living Resources recognizes both the impact of life events and the importance of our ability to cope and integrate these events into our daily living. Changes in our style of coping, our perceptions and actions are often key to a healthy adjustment to any life event. Support and encouragement also assist us in our efforts to work through life’s expected and unexpected events.
The counselling services combine the therapeutic principles of empathy, non-judgmental attitude, positive regard, autonomy and confidentiality with practical information, education, skills building and problem solving to encourage and promote each individual’s efforts toward improved well being.
If you or someone you know is struggling with the death of a loved one, a serious illness, job loss, relationship conflict, stress, depression, anxiety or trauma, the counselling services of Living Resources can provide the support and guidance necessary to cope with these life events.

Counselling and therapy
services are available to children, adolescents and adults.
Individual, couple, family and group services are available.

Art Therapy is also available, as part of the counselling or therapy experience for those interested in this approach. Art Therapy uses art activities for the creative expression and communication of experiences. It is particularly effective with children and adolescents but is also available to interested adults. It is also a unique and creative alternative when working with individuals living with physical, cognitive or mental challenges.
